Richard Avedon: Darkness and Light

Richard Avedon is a photographer who was not afraid to step outside of the box with his work. You’ll hear people call his work controversial, but I think society was just afraid of something they had never seen before at the time. His photos really encapsulate the idea of what it means to be human due to the heavy emphasis on their emotions in his photos. To me, it’s really no wonder he became so famous, being that he had such unique ideas for his photography. Not only that, he really genuinely connects to his work and you can tell that it’s his true calling.
